Our customers often face difficulties in sourcing electronic components for their projects. This is usually a huge drain on their resources, since sourcing requires them to coordinate between their assembly house and multiple suppliers for components and lead times, while juggling overages and logistics, and shortages and substitutes. This usually leads to quality factors for consigned assembly kits.
Full Turnkey or Partial Turnkey Options
PCB Trace Technologies Inc offers two options to all customers:
- Full Turnkey PCB Assembly
- Partial Turnkey PCB Assembly
Typical Turnkey Lead Times
Whether you opt for full or partial turnkey PCB assembly, typical lead times are as follows:
- BOM verification and quote — Same day or 24 hours after submitting Gerber and BOM
- Component Sourcing — 1-2 business days after firm order, subject to availability
You can submit your BOM and Gerber files for an early quote. Call us on 1 408-580-0722, or contact us at [email protected].
The Turnkey Concept
For both the turnkey options, we take over the responsibility from our customers for managing the inventory, BOM, component sourcing, calculating the overages, handling the logistics, and much, much more.
For a full turnkey PCB assembly, we offer various services, such as:
- Sourcing components, ordering, and acquiring them
- Shipments tracking, logistics handling, and inventory management
- Quality control, inspection, and electrical testing
- Final shipments
For partial turnkey PCB assembly, the customer can control some processes above. When customers opt for partial turnkey PCB assembly, they handle component sourcing and logistics for a part or the entire consignment. Our options for partial turnkey PCB assembly are:
Full Consignment: For a specific project, the customer must ship all material and components to us. After assembly and testing, we deliver the final product.
Stocking Consignment: With an ongoing relationship to the customer, we stock all the components and material for future use that our customers send to us in advance. We ensure moisture-free and anti-static conditions in our stores, and we maintain proper inventory levels, along with easy and quick access.
Hybrid Consignment: We also accept incomplete supply of components and material from the customer.
Our full turnkey PCB assembly services offer substantial benefits over the partial option. Therefore, most of our customers prefer the full turnkey option.
Benefits of Full Turnkey PCB Assembly
As PCB Trace Technologies Inc takes over the entire responsibility of sourcing electronic components and their assembly, the benefit to our customers is substantial:
Economics of scale: We have established relationships with major authorized component suppliers. This allows more accurate ordering, better rates, proper tracking, and timely deliveries.
No Store or Inventory: The customer does not have to maintain a store or manage an inventory for the components.
No Worries for Overages: Customers do not need to bother about delivery delays or improper overage quantities.
Time-Saving: Customers can save time and engage in other effective activities related to their project.
Quality Assurance: We assure high quality in every step of the PCB assembly. We have proper arrangements for labelling, storing, shipping, testing, and other protocols.
Latest Technology: We use state-of-the-art technology, and the customer does not incur any capital expenses.
Cost Reduction: As we handle in-house kitting, labor, shipping, tracking, and receiving, we reduce the customer’s cost.
Shorter Time-to-Market: As we handle all processes in full turnkey PCB assembly, the final product deliveries are quicker, more reliable, and more consistent. This translates to shorter time to market for our customers.
